Movie Palace Mysteries
I’m so excited about my new mystery series! It combines my lifelong obsession with classic films
with my love of cozy mysteries.
Book 1: Murder at the Palace
Welcome to the Palace movie theater! Now Showing: Classic movies, ghostly mayhem, and murder!
When Nora Paige’s movie-star husband leaves her for his latest co-star, she flees Hollywood for San Francisco and the Palace, a historic movie theater that shows the classic films she loves. There she finds a band of misfit film buffs who care about movies (almost) as much as she does. She also finds some shady financial dealings and the body of a murdered stranger. Oh, and then there’s Trixie, the lively ghost of a 1930’s usherette who appears only to Nora and has a lot to catch up on.
Book 2: Murder in the Balcony
Nora Paige is settling into her new life as manager of the Palace movie theater. She only has a few things to worry about. Like keeping the theater safely out of the clutches of an evil real estate developer, figuring out whether she wants to take her charming-but-cheating husband back, and hiding the fact that her new best friend Trixie is the ghost of an usherette who died in 1937.
But when someone close to the Palace is murdered, the only thing Nora really needs to worry about is finding the killer before they strike again.
Book 3: Murder on the Silver Screen
When Nora Paige agrees to use the Palace movie theater for the launch of a new online game, she has no way of knowing that the event will end in murder. But when one of the theater's owners is accused of the crime, the future of the Palace could be in danger.
With help from Trixie, the lively ghost of a 1930s usherette, Nora sets out to solve the crime, all while dealing with the latest manipulations from her lying ex, the meddling of a Hollywood mogul, and the mysterious delivery box of classic movie memorabilia.
Married to Mystery Series
Book 1: Speak Now
Charley Van Leeuwen can tell by a man's kiss whether he's been drinking Taittinger or Veuve Clicquot. The last thing anybody expected was for her to come home to San Francisco with a husband.
Jack Fairfax is the definition of tall, dark, and handsome. He's also a man with a past, and Charley soon learns that past is not exactly what he says it's been.
Kidnappings, murders, bitter ex-boyfriends, out-of-control relatives, and vicious former spies--it's a lot for Charley to handle, all while staging a play, starting a business, and getting to the heart of this whole marriage thing.
Book 2: How to Succeed in Murder
Charley Fairfax--heiress, theatrical producer, newlywed--has every intention of living happily ever after with her tall, dark, and sarcastic husband Jack.
But when Jack is hired to investigate a suspicious death at a San Francisco software company, it quickly becomes clear that high tech has some lowlife elements. The only way Charley knows how to help Jack involves doing something nobody thought she would ever do. Charley needs to get a job.
It might be a problem that Charley learned everything she knows about the workplace from a production of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, but that doesn't stop her from going undercover to find a killer. She isn't worried. Faking it has always been her strong suit.
